DISPENSING

A pharmacist is available to dispence both NHS and Private prescriptions. Our Pharmacist will also be able to give you advise on when and how to take your prescribed medicine and if there are any other medicines you should avoid while taking it. Your medicine will be clearly labelled and will also give you appropriate warnings - e.g. if your medicine may cause drowsiness, if alcohol should be avoided, etc.

MEDICINE SALES

Our pharmacist will be able to advise you on the appropriate treatment for minor ailments and refer you to a doctor if necessary. He/she is qualified to help you choose appropriate medicines especially for your needs.

OXYGEN THERAPY EQUIPMENT

We supply oxygen equipment prescribed on the NHS and have sets out on loan. We deliver oxygen to patients’ homes throughout the area. We also sell light weight oxygen sets which can be carried in a harness over the shoulder and refilled from a large cylinder.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

We can collect repeat prescriptions from your doctor’s surgery on your behalf. Please ask for details.

DELIVERY SERVICE

We run a relivery service and are happy to organise deliveries of dispensed prescriptions for house bound patients. We use dossett boxes, heat seal and the NOMAD systems. Ask your doctor, the pharmacist or any member of staff for details.

UNWANTED MEDICINES

Return all unused medicine to a pharmacy where they will be safely destroyed. Please DO NOT HOARD MECICINES - it can be fatal.

KEEPING YOURSELF WELL

Come in and help yourself to our health education leaflets. They are always on display. Do make a special point of looking out for our new ones each month.

These days, there is a much wider choice of foot care products, and we are always glad to advise you about any particular need or problem.

HOSIERY

We can supply nearly all kinds of NHS stockings. We also supply tights.

PREGNANCY TESTING

A small early morning urine sample is all that we need. We can usually test while you wait or, if you prefer, you can buy a home test kit.

We have a good selection of reasonably priced, fashionable reading/sun glasses for you to choose from.

PATIENT MEDICATION RECORDS

When we dispense your prescription we keep a record of the medicines dispensed, on our computer, so that on subsequent visits we can check for errors or interactions.

PHOTOGRAPHIC

Next day developing of 35mm and APS colour films. We also undertake, reprints, prints from prints, prints from slides etc. Ask a member of staff for full details.
